Fixing a Connection That Won't Log On

Some users are able to reach the Airpath home page, but find they are unable to log in. The following steps should solve this problem:

Disconnecting Completely

Disconnect your wireless adapter from your computer for a period of three to five minutes. Re-connect your adapter and attempt to log on as normal.

Restarting Your Computer

If you are still unable to log in, try to disconnect again by following the instructions above, then shut your computer down. Restart your computer and try to log in.

Check Your Wireless Configuration
 

Click on Start, then Settings, then click on Control Panel.
Double-click on the Network icon.
Select your connection device. Click on the Properties button. Then click on the Advanced tab on the screen that appears.
Click on ESSID. This must be set to AmeriSpot (Note capital A and capital S). Click on Operating Mode. This must be set to Infrastructure.

Also, make sure that Encryption Level is set to None.

Click OK.

Click OK.

Restart your computer.

 

Renew Your IP Address
 

Click on Start, then click on Run.
Type command and click OK.
Type winipcfg, then hit <enter>.
In the top box, select your wireless card or USB adapter.

Click on Release All. (If this option is not available, click on Release.)

Click on Renew All. (If this option is not available, click on Renew.)

Click OK.

At your command prompt, type exit, then hit <enter>.
